SUMMARY
Risk Program and ERM Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the development of, implementing, and maintaining the Credit Union’s enterprise risk management program, business continuity plan, physical record retention, shred, and electronic storage. Provide operational and advisory support to the Credit Union in the implementation, management and assessment of the integrated risk management and compliance frameworks especially as these pertain to the Enterprise Risk Management lifecycle process risk identification, analysis, measurement, monitoring and reporting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Gathers organizational risk information to support necessary inputs into and deliverables related to the ERM program and updates the Credit Union’s risk register to ensure consistent and accurate risk reporting. Develops recommendations to further promote awareness and affect positive change in the risk culture across the Credit Union, while meeting the ERM objectives and alignment with the overall strategic goals of the Credit Union. Provide quarterly ERM reports for Board review. Maintains the processes relating to the Credit Union’s Business Continuity Program. Work with Security Manager to ensure testing, documenting, employee training, orientation and updating of policy and procedures is completed yearly. Conduct yearly reviews and updates of all business line processes and risk assessment.
- Utilizes a comprehensive set of ERM tools, practices, and policies to analyze and report enterprise risks, including consolidating and integrating ERM tools and functions (policies, control documentation, assessments, metric reporting) into departments throughout the Credit Union, and implementing a set of risk metrics and reports, including losses and incidents, key risk exposures and early warning indicators. Assists departments to establish and perform risk and control self-assessments and establish complete, high-quality risk reporting for management and Board reporting purposes. Updates ERM policy and procedures as needed.
- Updates and maintains the physical record retention processes and electronic storage process, collaborates with the Risk Records Record Specialist in performing physical record retention, scheduling pickups, reviewing Iron Mountain shred usage reports, and reconciling Iron Mountain invoices.
- Provides conceptual thinking and analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex problems that include interrelationships and dependencies to identify common themes and solutions.
- Provides direction and leadership by developing an effective team, facilitating quality, managing performance through metrics, utilizing process tools to remove complexity and drive improvement within the Risk department.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE or QUALIFICATIONS

- High school diploma or its equivalent is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance or related field is preferred not required; related professional designations/certifications preferred (CPA, CIA, CFE, CRISC).
- Experience in and knowledge of enterprise risk management and internal control standards, especially within financial services industry bank or credit union preferred.
- Knowledge of enterprise risk management and internal control standards required (e.g. COSO ERM framework).
- Experience with risk quantification, completing and/or reviewing Risk and Self Assessments required, and group facilitation skills preferred.
- knowledge of regulations which affect the Credit Union industry required.
